HOW GOD PROVIDES WHATEVER THE NEED

by

Dr. Michael Trapasso
Attorney & Counselor at Law

“My God shall provide all your needs according to His Riches in Glory” is a reality I have walked in for some fifty-two years now.

When I was seventeen years old, I had never dated. Many of the other young people in the church were already dating around. However, I told the Lord I was not interested in that. Instead,
I asked the Lord to send me a girlfriend who loved Him like I did, and one that would fit my personality. I also asked the Lord to send her next month – June- at the youth camp in Lufkin, Texas.

So next month I left for the youth camp with an expectancy in my heart that He would answer my prayer. My faith was rooted, not so much in dogma, but in the realty of Jesus in whom I knew.
I knew Jesus loved me and cared for me.

So not long after arriving at camp, I found myself standing one foot off the sidewalk next to the food stand. I am just standing there with childlike faith that Jesus would send her my way.

Suddenly, as I am looking some distance ahead of me, here comes five girls walking down the sidewalk coming my way. As they get closer, I, with my eyes wide open, see a supernatural halo about 4 inches above the head of the girl in the middle.

Instantly, I knew she was the one. As they get closer, two girls to her left veer off the sidewalk, then a moment later, the two girls to her right, veer off to the right, leaving her alone as she walked right up two the food stand – literally just one foot away! God had brought right to me.

I tapped her on the shoulder and introduced myself. She was absolutely gorgeous. We dated thru all our teenage years.I learned early to treasure the gifts of God so I did not hold her hand until a half a year after dating her, and waited two whole years before I gave her a first kiss. We knocked on doors on some of our dates to tell people about Jesus.

Jesus, the lover of my soul, later in life spoke inspirational words to me telling me what city my future wife lived. I moved there, and three week later we started dating. Now twenty-seven years later, we are still married with four children.

As I matured in the Lord, He showed me that what I have walked in as a child, was not just for the privileged few, but a right and privilege of every citizen of the Kingdom of God. He showed me that there are keys to the Kingdom that His children need to possess in order to enjoy their citizenship. One key is that the “Just shall live my faith.”
Another key is that one must put the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first. Still another key is what Jesus taught, unless a grain of wheat fall to the ground and die, it will just remain one seed, but that if it dies, it will bear much fruit. Another key is to walk humbly before the Lord. There are other keys, but there is insufficient space for further elaboration.

On June 29, 2012, I woke up from a dream at 5:00 am in the morning. In the dream – which, by the way, was a literal dream – I was told that my next door neighbor who had moved away three years before, leaving an all brick home,
wanted to give it to me. I got up at 9:00 a.m. and told my wife what the Lord revealed to me. Well, at 10:00 a.m., the phone rings and my neighbor’s daughter called me and informed me her mother wants to give me
the house next door! I am now about to rent the house out for $1, 250 a month rent.  See, God provides financially too, when we depend on Him and not on our education or abilities.

Such is life in the Kingdom of God, and is available to every believer – that means you too!
